Congressman Paul Ryan (WI-1), ranking member of the House Budget Committee, joins Matt and Ron for an exclusive interview.

Principia Internet Radio (PIR) will be offering up-to-the-minute live coverage of the midterm elections from 6-11 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday, November 2. Four professors along with 55 students from a wide range of classes will be contributing to the coverage. Guests include Rep. Lamar Smith, numerous capital hill staffers, and correspondents for The Christian Science Monitor.

The growing consensus about National Public Radio (NPR) is that it ought to lose its federal funding for precipitously firing Juan Williams for making a controversial statement: a clear violation of the First Amendment.

Others say federal money shouldn’t go to overtly political groups. NPR is a liberal bastion with a clear agenda — not just anyone receives grants from George Soros to the tune of $1.8 million — but is this bias combined with one major First Amendment violation enough to pull the plug?

Hopefully, but the good news is that the Constitution has more to say about this issue, or rather, it has nothing to say on this issue because Congress was never granted the power to fund a radio station

The same young voters who elected Barack Obama can lead the nation out of debt.

According to Congress’s watchdog agency, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), entitlements – Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security – will consume all tax revenue by 2040, leaving defense, education, and all other programs to be financed with debt.

To save the future, we need change now.

Youth activism presents a catalyst for entitlement reform. As Washington continues to rack up record deficits on the dime of future taxpayers, no voice would be more powerful in this debate than future taxpayers themselves.
